Illumicrate Box #2: Look at all the bookish goodies!

At the end of last year, wonderful book blogger Daphne launched the first UK-based YA subscription box, Illumicrate, and we’re so beyond in love with it. The packaging, the books, the exclusive author content and the A+ book swag. As we love it so much, we decided to show all of the glorious bits and pieces that arrived in the February box! If you’re yet to receive yours and want to remain unspoiled, don’t look below the cut!

There is honestly nothing more cheery than a shiny, yellow bookish package arriving on a grey Monday morning, but then we opened it up and found even more joy!

(We accidentally stuck our bookplate in wonky, but hey ho!)

This gorgeous handpainted pouch is perfect as a pencil case or as an on-the-go make-up bag. We’ve opted for a pencil case and it’s already stuffed with our favourite pens and the gorgeous pencils included in this months box.

These adorable bookmarks are, well, adorable! Every reader knows the pain and torture of having a ship, but sticking this in your book will definitely make you smile when you think your OTP might be sinking… We want the whole collection now.

A Darker Scent of Magic Candle (Simple Candle Co)

As the release date for the sequel to ‘A Darker Shade of Magic’, ‘A Gathering of Shadows’, fast approaches, we’re all getting a bit excited. Enter handmade, soy wax candles especially designed for each of VE Schwab’s London’s (Red, White, Black and Grey) is just beyond cool. We got Red London and it smells AMAZING.
