Does Donald Trump’s Muslim ban spell disaster for Zayn’s career?

Our hearts are breaking

Donald Trump‘s latest executive order is one which has shocked the world to its core.

The order has effectively banned immigrants from seven Muslim countries from returning to America. Immediately following the announcement, there were protests at JFK and other major US airports.

But police have already started detaining innocent citizens who are trying to reenter the country just because they appear to be from a country on Trump‘s Muslim ban list.

Celebrities across the world from various backgrounds have united to slam Trump’s latest controversial order. It’s so encouraging to see public figures putting their necks on the line to speak out about injustice and we are very proud of every single one of them.

The reactions range from pure and simple horrified shock that the world has come to this:

To advice on how to show support to our immigrants affected by Trump’s ban:

‘HSM’ star, Ashley Tisdale, shared a quote from The Black Eyed Peas 2003 hit ‘Where Is the Love?’ which truly is becoming more and more relevant with each day that passes.

And today, Kim Kardashian-West also fought back at the ban with some cold hard facts which show that the biggest threat to Americans is themselves:

Some people turned to the bible for advice:

Uzo Aduba from ‘Orange is the New Black’ very poignantly pointed out that the ban goes directly against everything that the United States of America stands for by tweeting the poem that’s written on the Statue of Liberty.

People are also asking whether the ban could also have an effect on Zayn Malik, who is currently living in Hollywood. Does Trump’s ban mean that Zayn will have to leave the country?

Luckily for Zayn, for the moment Donald Trump’s ban does not targets Muslims from Pakistan, only those from Iraq, Syria, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen – some 218 million people. But there is nothing to say that Donald Trump will not be expanding his ban to include Zayn’s father’s country of origin.

Zayn is presumably living in the US on a green card, tourist visa, or work visa which makes him vulnerable to Trump’s whim. At any point the current POTUS could decide to extend his ban to include practising Muslims living in the US, regardless of country of birth. So, if Zayn leaves America for any reason then he risks being banned from reentering, which would greatly affect his chances of forging a music career for himself in the US.

What do you think of Donald Trump’s Muslim ban and do you think it’s likely he will extend it to include all predominately Muslim countries? Leave your thoughts in the comments box below.
