VOTE: Who actually won the iHeartRadio Music Awards 2017?

Be prepared for some hella stiff competition

The iHeartRadio Awards are always wall to wall entertainment from start to finish, top to bottom and side to side.

And if you don’t believe us, just take a look at this year’s extra extra edition. There were some truly classic moments of pop culture, mixed in with a good helping of kick-ass performances. But there’s always one act who will be remembered for totally owning the night and in our opinion there are 10 contenders for that title.

1. Shawn Mendes

First of all, Shawn got his bum squeezed mid-interview by none other than Katy Perry, which he seemed to be rather chuffed about.

But Katy wasn’t the only celebrity who showed Shawn some appreciation last night. The Chainsmokers, Noah Cyrus and Big Sean also revealed that they are all part of The Mendes Army

Obviously, that would be enough to make anybody’s night, but Shawn also put in a barnstorming performance of ‘Mercy’ which all but brought the house down.

2. Zayn Malik

Despite some initial confusion, it’s now been confirmed that Zayn took home Best Solo Breakout which he seemed pretty chuffed with.

3. Fifth Harmony

5H definitely had one of the best nights of all when it was announced that they had won Best Fan Army with 39 million votes.

Wow, Harmonizers. We have to take our hats off to you. Truly inspirational.

And that’s not all. Fifth Harmony also took home an award for Best Cover for ‘Exs and Ohs’ performed in Radio 1’s Live Lounge from April last year.

OH and they also later were confirmed to have won Best Music Video for ‘Work From Home’. 3/3 fan votes DAMN!

They also gained a few new squad members on the way, which we are completely down for tbh.

4. Halsey

As well as taking home the award for Dance Song of the Year for her collaboration with The Chainsmokers ‘Closer’, Halsey was practically everywhere last night.

5. TwentyOnePilots

It was an amazing night for the Skeleton Clique with TwentyOnePilots taking home Best Duo/Group of the Year, Alternative Rock Song of the Year for ‘Heathens’ and Alternative Rock Artist of the Year. DAAAAMN!

6. The Chainsmokers

These guys are everywhere at the minute and they truly did the damn thing at iHeartRadio Music Awards 2017, taking home a total of 5 trophies, including Best New Artist, Dance Artist of the Year and Dance Song of the Year with Halsey for ‘Closer’. They were reportedly very happy about it. Nice.

7. Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber is on tour at the minute so he couldn’t accept his award for Best Male Artist of the Year. But luckily Ed Sheeran was on hand to accept the award for Best Lyrics won by ‘Love Yourself’ which ICYMI was co-written by Ed.

8. Drake

Drizzy nabbed no less than three awards for Hip-hop Song of the Year, Hip-hop Artist of the Year and Best Collaboration ‘Work’ with Rihanna. Major slayage.

9. 5SOS

5SOS won Best Song from a Movie for ‘Girls Talk Boys’ and we couldn’t be more over the moon for them.

10. Miley and Noah Cyrus

Neither of them were nominated for an award, but their show of sisterly love deserves a nomination for best moment from iHeartRadio Music Awards 2017. Noah Cyrus was due to perform her new single ‘Make Me (Cry)’ with Labrinth and the whole family came along to support her.

Miley even made her own ‘I heart Noah Cyrus’ sign which was perfectly adorable. This is the kind of big sister love the world needs to see.

You’ve seen the contenders, now it’s time to get your vote on! Rep your fave.
