Ever since Fantastic Beasts hit cinemas last week and the news broke that the series was going to be 5 (yep, 5!) whole movies long we’ve been pretty nervy about who’ll be taking centre stage.
Will we still be seeing Newt and our new faves? Or will be seeing far more of Johnny Depp on screen than anybody wants? J.K. Rowling has taken to Twitter today to set us all straight:
Quiz: what % Newt Scamander are you?
Rejoice, Potterheads! Here’s 100% confirmation we can continue to fangirl over Eddie Redmayne for many years to come:
@jk_rowling please tell us newt is still main character in the next movies

With the casting of Grindlewald and confirmation young Dumbledore will be part of the movie magic we were a little bit scared the plot would stray from our fave Hufflepuff. One movie in and we’re already in love with Newt TBH. We never want to say goodbye.
What else do fans want from the Fantastic Beasts sequels? Here’s a few fans’ wishlist:
@jk_rowling James McAvoy as young Albus please
