On Wednesday 3rd February we were super excited to have Marianne Levy take over our Twitter to answer all of her readers’ questions about music, writing, ‘Accidental Superstar’, and our favourite bit, hairbrush selfies!
Here are some of our favourite moments from the takeover.
Author Shelley Harris asked if Marianne had ever wished to be in her heroine’s shoes:
@shelleywriter @MarianneLevy MUSICALS. I wanna stand in the spotlight and BELLOW.

Marianne shares with reader Mary how determined she was to become a published author:
@Thisismarycody LOADS! I wrote seven other books before I got published with Ellie May. Maybe the ideas weren't so brilliant, though…

Reader Vibha asked Marianne about her inspiration for ‘Accidental Superstar’:
@_EverlarkPotter I'm interested in how a private moment at home gets on the internet, goes viral and can suddenly be EVERYWHERE.

And then the hairbrush selfies began:
The front of Accidental Superstar is a girl singing into a hairbrush. Want to send me a #HairbrushSelfie? pic.twitter.com/oMnUZ0k7H1

Then lovely ladies from Marianne’s publisher, Macmillan, served up a group hairbrush selfie worthy of a music video:
