OMFG WTF

11 Oscar-worthy reaction memes which perfectly sum up the Best Picture fiasco

You’re not ready

When people look back on the Oscars 2017, they won’t think of how the spectacular ‘Moonlight’ was rightfully recognised for winning Best Picture.

They won’t remember that ‘La La Land’ took home no less than 6 awards.

They might fuzzily recall how Viola Davis made a stirring speech which deserved its own Oscar right there and then.

They won’t even remember that Nicole Kidman turned out to be The Grinch in disguise.

They will instead think of the massive, massive screw up that was poor Warren Beaty and Faye Dunaway announcing that ‘La La Land’ had won Best Picture when in fact it was won by ‘Moonlight’. Of course, it wasn’t their fault they were given the wrong envelope. But the deed is done and it has launched a thousand memes into the ether. Here are some of our faves:

1. Beaten to the punch

2. Emma Stone’s face

3. Oh and Meryl Streep’s face

She’s a human shocked face emoji 😱

4. Matt Damon’s face for that matter of fact

5. The plot uncovered

6. Beyonce has her say LOL

7. We can’t take it anymore…

8. This is too much

9. Oh it’s on now

11. We’re dead.

And we remain dead.

David once appeared on TV in Armenia. Apparently, "it was awesome".
