Vanessa Hudgens dedicated her ‘Grease: Live!’ performance to her late father.

Just hours after revealing that her father lost his battle with cancer, Vanessa Hudgens stepped back in front of millions of people to perform as Betty Rizzo in FOX’s ‘Grease: Live!’.

The 27-year-old actress and singer wrote earlier that day on Twitter that she would dedicate the show in honour of her father, Greg, who sadly passed on Saturday.

The tragedy put a sharp edge on what was about to be the rockiest and joyous night.

Hudgens joined a star cast for the Fox’s live event. And while Julianne Hough may have played Sandy, it was Vanessa who drew the most praise on Twitter, especially after people found out she was performing after losing her father.

The praise started flowing after the singer gave a flawless performance of ‘There Are Worse Things I Could Do.’

Here at Maximum Pop!, our thoughts and prayers are with Vanessa and her family.
