Listen up Pink Ladies, there’s a new Diva in Rydell High, and she goes by the name of Jessie J. WE. ARE. LOVING. IT!
Jessie J took a break from recording her fourth album to contribute a cover version of ‘Grease (Is The Word)’ for FOX’s ‘Grease: Live!’ musical. The singer’s done a spunky performance of the song -which opened the 1978 film, giving us a perfect intro to the world of Rydell.
“I’m definitely keeping it as close to the melody as possible,” Jessie said, “I’ve definitely thrown in what I kind of like to do and just put a little bit of me into it.”
Jessie will perform the song when “Grease: Live!” premieres on Sunday, Jan. 31. If you can’t wait, check out the vid of her recording the cover below, featuring rehearsal footage of the cast, including Carly Rae Jepsen, Julianne Hough and Vanessa Hudgens!
