A starr is born. There have been quite a few pop stars who have found fame through social media recently, but Lucki Starr (stage name of Alexis Starr) is one of the most exciting of the bunch.
Lucki is taking over our Snapchat account today, so add us right here for exclusive vids and snaps.
The thing is that Lucki is actually all of us. She first got famous started making Vines and Musical.ly vids, which proves that if youâve got the talent you can go all the way to become a pop star.
We caught up with Lucki to discuss being fab and all that. Hereâs how it went:
How did you choose your stage name âLucki Starrâ and why did you switch from Alexis?
I chose my stage name as âLucki Starrâ because I feel as though everyone deserves to feel lucky and my middle name is âStarrâ. I spelled âLuckiâ with an âiâ to add more of a unique spelling.
Do you consider yourself a lucky person and what is the luckiest thing that has ever happened to you?
Yes, I do consider myself lucky. I think the luckiest thing that has ever happened to me was being able to win tickets for a Kanye West, Jay-Z and Katy Perry concert all in the month of my birthday.
Do you believe that some people are born to be stars?
I personally believe that there are some people that are born to be stars but as long as you have the drive and determination, anyone can work towards being a star.
Why do you think people connected with you so much Vine and Musical.ly?
Musical.ly showcases my singing and dancing as well as my creativity, and it seems like my viewers enjoy it for those reasons.
Which is your favourite Vine youâve ever done?
My favorite Vine Iâve ever done is probably the one I did to âFeeling Myselfâ just because Nicki Minaj retweeted it on Twitter.
Which other star on Musical.ly would you most like to collaborate with?
I would love to collaborate with Ty Dolla $ign. Iâm not sure if he has an actual Musical.ly account but I know he had a challenge on there in the past.
Do you have any advice for young people looking to get started out in the music industry?
My advice for anyone looking to get started in the music industry is to stay focused, and do whatâs in your heart to do, no matter what anyone says. And have fun while doing it! :)
How would you describe your music using only adjectives starting with the letter âdâ?
Different, distinctive and decorous.
*Quickly googles âdecorousâ*
Do you have any hidden talents?
Aside from the singing, dancing, acting and modeling, Iâve always been into art, poetry, fashion (sewing, knitting, etc.), sports and more, but they are hobbies of mine that some may not know.
OMG! We need to find a hobby rn!
If you had to be any character in âPretty Little Liarsâ who would you be and would you survive?
I love âPLLâ! If I could be any character in âPretty Little Liarsâ, I would probably be Hanna and I would definitely survive.
