This is the most inspirational thing Lauren Jauregui has ever done

Last week Lauren Jauregui came under fire from Twitter trolls for her political opinions. She is the second member of Fifth Harmony to have suffered from online negativity following Normani who quit Twitter in August due to racist comments.

But never one to take it lying down, Lauren has hit back at her haters. You go girl! Here’s what she had to say:

“I feel like a lot of people disregard the scrutiny that people like us are under. We’re not all thin, model types, and we’re not all perfectly colored. It mind-boggles me that somebody would take time out of their life to make someone feel inferior because of something like that. That to me, is insane.”

This is what a boggled mind looks like…

“You can’t help it as a human being when you’re put under so much scrutiny, by multiple people, not even just one person in real life, telling you something. It harms you.”

“We try to sit with each other and lift each other up, and these people who are telling you things, these people are all behind their computers who are envious of what you have, and the abilities that you have.”

SLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! That’s my girl! Tweet us @MaximumPop if you love Lauren’s inspirational comments.

David is the Head of Content at Maximum Pop!

Having studied Russian and Spanish at the University of Leeds, David moved to Moscow to work in the education sector. Upon returning to UK soil, David initially immersed himself in the wonderful world of MP! as a music writer.

Now head of all things content, David takes being a music fanboy to a whole new level, and can often be found dancing like there's nobody watching to 'Shout Out To My Ex', obsessing over Lauren Jauregui and defending Taylor Swift's honour.

David once appeared on TV in Armenia. Apparently, "it was awesome".
