Chart Round-Up: Ella Henderson on course for number 1 while Little Mix jump into the top 5!

We don’t like to brag, but as soon as we first heard Ella Henderson’s debut single ‘Ghost’, we knew the former X Factor star had a sure fire hit on her hands. Well, it seems the British public agree with us because it looks like Ella could be on course for her first official number 1 come this Sunday!

Up to midnight on Tuesday night, over 78,000 copies of the track had been purchased in the UK, and now it looks set to become one of the fastest selling singles of the year so far. Meanwhile in the rest of the chart, Ed Sheeran slides one place to Number 2 with ‘Sing’ while Dutch DJ Tiesto  is on track for his highest charting single to date with ‘Wasted’. Sam Smith’s ‘Stay With Me’ hangs on at number 4 while Little Mix’s ‘Salute’ – helped by a storming performance on Britain’s Got Talent over the weekend – jumps 19 places to number 5.  A fine Top 5 we think you’ll agree.
