The Cat Returns! Ariana Grande has returned to her ‘Victorious’ roots and suddenly it’s 2012 all over again

Happy Valentine’s Day!

When you see a headline with the words ‘The Cat Returns’ you might think of something like this:

Or you might even think of the popular anime film from 2002, ‘The Cat Returns’ from Studio Ghibli which features possibly the fattest cat we have ever seen perfectly depicting our table manners in one glorious GIF.

Also, this moment. This precious unforgettable moment.

Anyway, you’ll probably be wanting to hear about what Ariana Grande has to do with all this right? Well, if you cast your mind back to 2011, Nickelodeon hit show ‘Victorious’ introduced us to Cat Valentine, who was played by Grande. She quickly became a fan favourite on the show and if you need a little reminder as to why we are happy to oblige.

Given her pop star success, it’s quite easy to forget that  actually started out as an actress on ‘Victorious’, but clearly Ariana Grande is still in touch with her roots.

QUIZ: Can you actually remember all the lyrics to the ‘Victorious’ theme tune?

Little Grande! Is Ariana about to become the fifth member of Little Mix?

Ari recently had a mini-‘Victorious’ reunion with her former castmates, Matt Bennett and Leon Thomas who played Robbie and Andre on the show. Tbh you’d be forgiven for thinking that Cat Valentine was gracing our screens with her presence again if it weren’t for the Ariana signature ponytail.

But clearly Ariana was feeling the same vibe as us because later that night on Snapchat she posted a picture of herself wearing a red-haired wig just like she used to wear as Cat Valentine. Our hearts skipped a beat.

Daaaamn! Can we just get a full-cast reunion right this second please? Or another season would be nice thanks, Ari.
