Shut up and let us go! The Ting Tings, who knocked Madonna off the Number 1 spot in 2008 with ‘That’s Not My Name’, are back. Not only have they got a new album, ‘Super Critical’, coming out on October 27th, but they’ve got a tour coming up and a new song for you to get your ears around.
‘Do It Again’ is described as a ‘riff heavy euphoric number’ and from a first listen, that riff is darn catchy. It’s quite a restrained, lazy track compared to the balls out moments of their still brilliant first album ‘We Started Nothing’ – which is fine for the odd track or two – but ‘Sounds from Nowheresville’ was really boring. Hopefully Jules and Katie have got their pop spark back this time around and there are some big moments to compliment the laid-back sound of ‘Do It Again’. We’ll find out when the album drops October 27th.
