Taylor Swift donates $50k to NYC public schools from ‘Welcome To New York’ sales.

From the girl who said she would never move to New York to being been named NYC Global Welcome Ambassador. The same girl who sent a fan $1,989 to help her pay off her study loans.

Haters can keep hating on Taylor Swift for basically everything.

Recently Taylor welcomed NY herself by purchasing a home there, and it doesn’t look like she’s looking back. Swiftie just donated $50,000 from the sales of her ‘1989’ song ‘Welcome to New York’ to the New York Department of Education.

She made the promise last October in an appearance on ‘The View’.

“It’s selling really, really well, which is good because I’m donating all my proceeds to New York City public schools,” she said at the time.

Bravo, Taylor!
