MP! Style Guide: Crazy pricy skin creams—are they even worth it?

We’re psychologically predisposed to believe that the more we pay for something, the better it will be. (Not convinced this applies to pizza, will report back.) But while  struggling to find a good skincare regimen, sometimes it’s hard not to wonder if a £100 cream might perform better than a £10 one, so here are 5 of the most expensive face creams and their user reviews.

Fresh Crème Ancienne – £205 for 100g


What it is: A precious face cream handmade in a monastery proven to provide instant, long lasting hydration.

What it promises:  Moisturizing, anti-oxidative, smoothing, and nourishing

So what’s the verdict? These crazy expensive creams seem to be worth the money, as they all score extremely high amongst users. Most seem to be valued for their anti-aging properties, though, so we can remain thankful that most basic and acne-targeted moisturizers remain affordable.
