MP! Style Guide: Top foods to eat for good skin, hair, and nails

Since we, you know, grow our own skin, hair, and nails everyday, it doesn’t come as a huge surprise that what we eat really affects this growth. If you’re noticing dry hair, brittle nails, or troublesome skin, a quick look at your diet could identify the culprit. These are some of the top foods you can eat to help keep skin, hair, and nails looking their best.

Olive oil

The monounsaturated fatty acids found in olive oil (more so than any other oil) can help keep everything looking young and bright.

Dark chocolate

Rejoice! The cocoa flavanols found in dark chocolate can help hydrate and improve blood flow.

Green tea

Okay, technically you don’t eat green tea, but the polyphenols and antioxidants in it can help smoothness and elasticity.

Crazy high in antioxidants, blueberries can be a total superfruit when it comes to helping your complexion.

Power up your salad by swapping lame old lettuce out for some spinach, which is packed with vitams and omega-3 fatty acids and can help keep your nails and hair growing strong.

You don’t have to eat a ton to reap the rewards of walnuts’ omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin E, which can help with all your hair, nails, and skin problems.

The calcium in yogurt can really aid in nail growth, plus it helps keep teeth and bones strong.
