This ‘Riverdale’ writer is publishing a queer YA novel and you’ll want to read it immediately

This book will be your new YA fave

It’s no secret that we’re massive ‘Riverdale’ fans, so when we heard that one of the writers of the show is publishing her first YA novel that’s about fanfic and LGBTQ+ youth, it’s safe to say that we were pretty excited.

Britta Lundin’s debut book is called ‘Ship It’. It’s a queer, YA novel and follows the life of a fanfic writer called, Claire, who knows that the two main male characters on her fave TV show are in love.

Claire tries to convince showrunners to make their relationship happen onscreen. She’s then invited on a Comic Con tour with the cast.

How exciting!

Obviously, we love this sound of this release. It’s due out spring 2018 and will no doubt help destigmatise a whole range of teen issues.

Britta broke the news about the upcoming release through a series of different tweets.

Oh, it’s definitely our jam. Are you looking forward to reading ‘Ship It’? Let us know in the comments below.
