MP!er Jennifer shares her thoughts on Mario Routi’s second Rebecca Newton thriller!

MP!er Jennifer shares her thoughts on Mario Routi’s ‘Rebecca Newton and the Last Oracle’ the second in the series of mythical epic fantasy awesomeness.

w545083Describe the plot of ‘Rebecca Newton and the Last Oracle’ in a tweet – less than 140 characters please!

To save the sacred flame from getting into the hands of the Titans who intend to take over the earth and the land of the white sun. At the same time they are fighting the Gods in the Elysian Fields.

Have you read the first book in the series?

Yes! I read the first book when it came out.

Without giving anything away, does the ending make you wants to read the next in the series?

I would like to find out what happens at the next Lomani. I think it will be very exciting and a hard battle!

What genre would you class the book as?

Mythical epic fantasy!

What was the best bit?

The fighting scenes in Tartarus are described in graphic detail, with every blow Rebecca throws from her magic sword that contains part of the sacred flame, hellhounds are killed leaving a huge monster. Bull cuts it’s head off and then two more grew from the wound! I don’t want to give the story line away, you just need to read it yourself!

Anything you didn’t like?

Not really it was pretty much what I had expected, I will say that it might be confusing if you haven’t read the first in the series.

Would you recommend to a friend?

Yes I have done but again I’ve recommended my friends read the first in the series before this one.

Do you think it would appeal to girls or boys more? Or both?

The first book in the series would definitely appeal to boys and girls but this one is a bit more appealing to girls I think due to the attraction between Princess Leylah and Alexander,

Anything else you’d like to tell us?

This book was well written and the artwork on the cover made me want to pick up the book and find out what it’s about. I can’t wait for the Lomani to begin properly!

Keep an eye on MP! for more Rebecca Newton shenanigans, we’re gonna get in depth!
