For the past month we’ve been delving deep into the realms of Veronica Roth’s ‘Divergent’ trilogy. We just can’t get enough of it! We got thinking over a few glasses of milk and cookies at Christmas which faction would we choose if we had the chance? We were far too lazy for Dauntless.
Have a look below at what factions we think our favourite faces of pop would be in!
Harry Styles – Abnegation
This one was an easy one. People in the Abnegation faction are selfless and forget themselves for the sake of others. Can you think of a nicer person in pop? Nah we couldn’t either. Always a polite young chap who even gives his food to paparazzi, we’re not sure what he’d look like all in grey though.
Taylor Swift – Erudite
Erudite is the one and only faction that’s dedicated to knowledge, intelligence, curiosity and astuteness. In other words, it’s for all the switched on brain boxes out there who love learning about new things, step forward Miss Taylor Swift. Always one step ahead of the game Swifty doesn’t listen to the critics and label executives, if you want to stick half your face on your album cover and call it ‘1989’ YOU DO THAT GURL.
Ed Sheeran – Amity
Peacefulness, kindness, forgiveness, trust, self-sufficiency and neutrality. Those are the traits in someone who belongs to the Amity faction. Sound like someone familiar? Dubbed the kindest man in pop and we think the world, Ed Sheeran would fit in nicely with the rest of the farmers who care for the land in ‘Divergent’. Up for it Ed? We’ll even give you a green tractor.
Lorde – Candor
Candor are known for total honesty and in some cases in the book they have a rather big mouth (Christina). We had to think for a while to come up with a perfect fit for this faction but Lorde definitely deserves a spot in here. She’s not one to beat around the bush, although the things she says aren’t malicious and meant to hurt people she will always tell you the truth and not beat around the bush. Look at what she said below about Selena Gomez.
Dauntless – Micheal Clifford
Dauntless are trained in the harshest conditions allowing them to have the tough job of guarding the fence, ensuring no one goes in… or out. They have the bravest traits and seem almost fearless, you’ll often see them with tattoos, piercings and dark make up. We reckon Mikey could give Four a run for his money, always up for a laugh and the odd hair change and piercing.
