We officially have a season 3 of ‘My Mad Fat Diary’

Rejoice tv series addicts! ‘My Mad Fat Diary has been renewed for a third series.

The Bafta nominated ’90s-set drama will return to E4, with Sharon Rooney continuing her role as Rae Earl.

The new was announced via Twitter but it is not known when the third series will be aired.

Set in Stamford, Lincolnshire in 1996, ‘My Mad Fat Diary’ follows the story of the funny, music-mad 16-year-old Rae Earl, who has just left a psychiatric hospital, where she has spent several months. In the first season she begins to reconnect with her best friend, Chloe, and trying to impress Chloe’s friends Izzy, Archie, Chop and Finn. In the second season Rae is making the big step into college life while trying to live with her moody pregnant mother and tried to understand her feeling for Finn.
