Twenty-year old Bradford babe Melissa Steel’s first solo single is a flirtatious treat.
‘Kisses For Breakfast’ is already charming its way across UK radios with its twinkly, reggae-pop vibe. The sugary melodies and sexy innocence reminds us a little of Rihanna’s 2005 debut album ‘Music of The Sun’.
“Early in the morning, I’m gonna give you something priceless,” she teases in the song.
This is Melissa’s first proper single, following her guest vocals on Kove’s big 90s house tune ‘Way We Are’. She’s currently busy writing her debut album, collaborating with producers like Kz, who worked with Wretch 32.
It sounds like she might go in a more rhythmic pop direction than big, raving dance. But to be honest – with strong, honeyed vocals like that – Melissa could probably sing the phone book in German to dubsteppy bagpipes and it would still sound amaze.
The girl just put up the video for ‘Kisses For Breakfast’ this week. Judging by Melissa’s stunning features and fierce braids, we’re sure it won’t be long before every guy in front of the telly starts blowing her kisses.
