Louis Tomlinson to play for Doncaster Rovers again. We’re going to like sport for about 90 minutes.

One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson is to play for the football team Doncaster Rovers once again this year, it has been announced.

Sporty Spice wasn’t even this good…

The last time Louis played a match for the team, the game ended in a 0-0 draw with 1D fans projecting deafening screams everytime Louis touched the ball.

Tommo and his team will play as part of a special ‘Rovers Legends’ game to mark long-serving Rovers midfielder James Coppinger’s testimonial year. We’re not sure what a testimonial year is either but, according to our good friend Google, it is a “match to honour a player for service to the club.” So we’re guessing James Coppinger must be pretty great.

The match will take place on April 19 at the Keepmoat Stadium and we’re pretty sure a few thousand Directions, as well as football fans, will be in attendance.

We might just have to let Dad watch the footie this once.
