YouTube is such a huge community that has been building rapidly for ten years. We always hear about Zoella, Tyler Oakley and the like, but what about other cool content creators who we should know about?
We’re interviewing less mainstream YouTubers that we think you definitely need to know about and love just as much as we do! We’ve spoken to Eloise Bailey AKA LittleRowan who has almost 22k subscribers and had a chat about all things YouTube and vlogging.
What sort of content do you post?
What inspired you to create a YouTube channel?
Four years ago I began making friends with lots of small YouTubers but didn’t make any content of my own. I spent a lot of time at YouTube gatherings and got to know many people in the community. As my friends’ channels began to grow and others started questioning why I had so many YouTube friends, I was encouraged to start up my own channel.
What YouTubers do you admire?
How would you describe yourself in 5 words?
The five words I would use to describe myself are: friendly, reflective, attentive, insightful, and occasionally naive!
If you could collab with anyone in YouTube, who would it be and why?
I would love to play video games with Dan and Phil! I think their gaming channel is hilarious and I like that they’re not exactly experts at the games they play, which would hopefully mean I wouldn’t look TOO dumb playing alongside them, haha.
What is something we absolutely need to know about you?
What you need to know about me is that although I don’t post often, I am always thinking of my subscribers! I’m really busy at University and often lack the motivation required to talk to my camera. I feel really bad when I don’t post videos but sometimes I just don’t know what to talk about!
What can we expect from you in the near future?
What are your goals for your channel?
I know I’m not particularly interesting, or funny, what I’m aiming for my channel is to have an audience of people who truly care for the things I talk about (especially in the future when I post about animal issues) so that together, we can make a difference.
What tips do you have for people considering to start their own YouTube channel?
The best advice I can give is to JUST DO IT! I waited two years longer than I should have to post my first video and I wish I hadn’t! You have nothing to lose by posting videos, and everything to gain. My confidence has grown seven-fold thanks to YouTube. The nicest people I’ve ever met have been over the internet.
This or That: McDonald’s or Burger King?
Clubbing or sleepover?
Sleepover! Clubbing is fun, for about twenty minutes. I have a much nicer time hanging out at home with my friends where I can actually hear what they’re saying to me.
Disney or Pixar?
It has to be Disney. Lady and the Tramp is one of my all time favourite movies!
Pop Rock or Pop Punk?
Burp in a hot guy’s face by mistake or accidentally trip in front of your celeb crush?
I’d rather burp in a hot guy’s face by mistake. It could be quite a useful little test actually. If he takes it well, you know you’re probably soul mates.
