Are you a last minute person stuck for make-up looks to wear for parties? Yep, us too. We’ve got you sorted.

Today, I grabbed a wonderful friend to help me bring you a Kim Kardashian inspired make-up look. This look is perfect for New Years Eve – consisting of a subtle contour, a festive, bold red lip and a golden and glittery, warm eye. Everybody needs a bit of glitter on New Years, right?

INSPIRED LOOK:

A more subtle version of Kim’s look. Let’s call it Kim K minus the severe contouring.

Start with your base of foundation all over the face to create a flawless base for the look, leave the powdering until later.

Highlight the areas of the face in which you want to appear lifted and brighter, this is where the light will reflect on your face to shape your face. To complete a Kim K inspired look, it is important to highlight down the centre of your nose, above your cheekbones, on the centre of your forehead, your cupids bow and your chin.

To then define the areas around where you highlight, use bronzer to sculpt the face and create definition to the areas around it, similar to Kim’s, just more subtle.

Use a contour brush to bronze your temples and your cheekbones, and a finer brush to bronze both sides of your nose, therefore the highlight used on your nose is more defined.

Using either a eyebrow palette or a darker, matte brown eyeshadow shade, fill in the brows following your natural eyebrow shape.  Kim’s eyebrows aren’t very arched in the photo, so if you’re lacking in the eyebrow department, try to create a natural looking eyebrow shape with not too big of an arch.

Next, use a flesh coloured, nude eyeshadow shade all over the eyelid to create a base for the rest of your eye makeup look.

Subtly build up the eyeshadow using a golden shimmery shade, focusing on the centre of the eyelid.

Begin to blend a darker matte brown shade into the the crease of your eyelids, and blend it in using a clean eyeshadow brush for your eyeshadow to appear like a gradient of colour throughout your eyelid. This will make your eyeshadow look warm yet smokey.

After you have build up the colour in the crease of yoru eyelids, use either a white pigment, eye pencil or eyeshadow to highlight the corner of your eyes, to draw focus on to the eye makeup and make your eyes appear brighter and more awake.

Kim K absolutely loves her false lashes, however lashes are optional! Create a false lash effect by building up layers of mascara on your top and bottom lashes. Recommendation – Maybelline The Falsies mascara will definitely do the job, hence the name!

Line the outline your lips with a red lip liner and begin to work the colour throughout the lips, this can be worn on it’s own, however it is a great base before applying lipstick as it helps it stay in place and avoids smudging.

Focus the application of your lipstick onto the centre of the lips, so your lips then appear fuller and more plump, a look that all the Kardashian/Jenner sisters love.

As it’s a NYE isnpired look, where’s a better opportunity to incorporate a bit of glitter into your look?

Kim loves a shimmery, glittery eye so I just applied a light amount of  gold glitter pigment onto the eyelids, focusing on the centre, to make your eye look really stand out.
