Get ready for your hearts to go into overdrive.  Former member of Stereo Kicks, Jake Sims, has been appointed as an ambassador for teenage cancer charity; Teens Unite!

In between working on his career as a solo artist, Jake will be focusing his attention as ambassador forTeens Unite; the only UK charity to provide ongoing support to 13-24 year olds fighting cancer from across the UK.

Jake first became familiar with the cancer charity for teens at their annual gala fundraising event, ‘An Opulent Tale’ in November 2015. It was when he heard speeches from some of the young people supported by Teens Unite and their parents Jake decided he wanted to get involved with the charity.

Speaking about his role as an ambassador, Mr Sims said “I’m honoured to be a part of such a worthwhile charity that is truly making a difference to the lives of young people. I fall within the age range of those that Teens Unite supports and it has really hit home that cancer can effect anyone; no matter how young or old you are.

“I’ve spent time with these young people and I’ve walked away feeling inspired by their hope, positivity and fun-loving attitude despite fighting such an illness. Without Teens Unite, this may be a completely different story.”

Roles as ambassador include promoting the charity to grow its network of supporters, raise awareness and ultimately help the charity to reach out to more young people in need of Teens Unite’s support.

We are so proud of our boy Jake and cannot wait to see how he helps out Teens Unite!
