Electro Velvet selected to represent to UK at Eurovision. Here we go again…

After months of the rumour mill being in overdrive, the BBC have finally announced who will be representing the United Kingdom in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest – and it’s bad news for Alexandra Burke.

After Burkey and fellow former X Factor winner Joe McElderry were bookies favourites to fly the flag for us in Vienna, both of their dreams were crushed as this year’s representative was announced as… Electro Velvet!

Electro Velvet are a musical (thankfully) duo made up of Alex Larke and Bianca Nicholas who will perform ‘Still In Love With You’ at the 60th edition of ESC this May.

Anyway, the track’s a right ruddy corker.

Will the United Kingdom finally reign victorious? (No.) Find out on BBC One on May 23.
