Ed Sheeran duets with music legend Elton John! And it’s a weepy one…

If you thought Pharrell and Frozen’s Idina Menzel’s were the coolest performances to come out of the Oscars a couple of weeks ago, you clearly needed to score yourself an invitation to one of the after parties.

Ed Sheeran recently joined music legend Elton John (ask your mum) onstage at Elton’s annual AIDS Foundation Oscar Party, and entertained the A-list crowd with a performance of weepy ballad ‘Candle In The Wind’.

The song, which was a big hit for Elton in the 70s and 90s, is stripped right back to just an acoustic guitar and some piano, with Sheeran’s angelic vocals stealing the performance throughout. Of course, this isn’t the first time the two have collaborated, having also performed together at the Grammys back in January.

Look Ed, its all very well getting to perform with loads of A-list stars, but where’s that new album?!
