Earlier on today we reported that YouTube had created a new ‘restricted mode’ limiting people’s access to LGBTQ+ content, which resulted in #YouTubeIsOverParty trending worldwide. It was, of course, a hit for equality, a hit for LGBTQ+ rights and a hit for the “out and proud” YouTubers this platform has come to represent.
Connor Franta was one of the first to question this new development:

And this comes just one day after he revealed that he would be covering Gay Times magazine.
It bears mentioning that Connor only came out officially on 8th December 2014, a relatively short time ago. It just goes to show how far he has come in just a few years. We are so proud of the Con-olution and we’re glad to be able to call him one of our favourite LGBTQ+ role models.
