Super Bowl halftime 2016: Coldplay, Beyonce and Bruno Mars smashed it

The halftime show this year’s Super Bowl was out of this world.  It opened with a Coldplay mashup of ‘Yellow’ and ‘Viva La Vida’ as Chris Martin ran through fans while singing and keeping things upbeat.

The performance then moved into ‘Paradise’ complete with fireworks, flags and a colorful stadium while fans held up cards that spelled out ‘Believe in love’. wow.

Things took a a turn to more recent times with their single ‘Adventure Of A Lifetime’ from the band’s latest album ‘A Head Full Of Dreams’. Then it was time for Bruno Mars to shine with his performance of ‘Uptown Funk’.

The Queen then took the stage while performing her new single ‘Formation’. The stands were surely rocking as Beyonce and Bruno Mars joined Chris Martin on stage for the final.

And finally, the halftime show took a step back to the slow. As Coldplay performed ‘Clocks’, a montage of the most amazing Super Bowl performances of the past years played on the big screen.

Sadly, there was no left-shark tribute. Anyway, what are you thoughts on this year’s show? Tell us now, @maximumpop!
