Boom, clap! Charli XCX confirms new album Sucker will hit shelves on 20 October following the release of her next solo single âBreak The Rulesâ.
The English singer/songwriter has hinted that the album is big pop with a punk-inspired vibe.
She has worked with the likes of Weezer, Rostam from Vampire Weekend and Stargate (who has produced hits for everyone from Rihanna to Ne-Yo and Beyoncé).
Charli has been killing it so far this year. Letâs take a minute to recount the wins so far.
âBoom Clapâ recently soared into the UK Top 10 and also became Charliâs first solo hit to crack the US Billboard Hot 100, peaking at #10.
Charli has been nominated for six MTV VMA awards including Artist to Watch. Sheâs set to perform âBoom Clapâ at the awards this week.
She also just co-bagged a Teen Choice Award for best R&B/Hip Hop song with Iggy Azalea for âFancyâ.
Since you donât need the gift of clairvoyance to see this becoming another future win for Charli, weâre chucking in her newest single âBreak The Rulesâ.
Itâs the best rebelâs power-pop anthem weâve heard since Girls Aloudâs âNo Good Adviceâ, really. The single is out on 5 October.
