Canary Swing performed their first headline show at the O2 Islington last week and it was incredible. A little birdy told us that even Gemma Styles herself attended the show.
The event started out with a meet and greet and acoustic set for fans, allowing everyone to meet the cheeky chaps themselves before the show.
The sold out gig was drummer Brad Woolly’s first show with the band, but that didn’t stop them from playing some amazing tunes with Cory and Ben on guitars and George as lead vocalist.
George Crump wished his dad, who was fangirling with us in the audience, a happy birthday and the whole room exploded into song. We don’t think this was on the original set-list. After a very sassy cover of ‘Crazy In Love’ (and yes, we did get our groove on to this), the boys closed with ‘Second Star To The Right’.
The whole event was full of energy and the crowd loved it. The boys were so grateful for the support and they thanked everyone for coming along. We even bagged ourselves some merchandise available here.
We suggest you keep an eye out for Canary Swing. Their up-and-coming talent and indie-pop sound will make them go far.
