MP! Reviews: Andreas Moe supporting John Mayer at the O2 Arena.

When we got an email asking if we wanted to pop down to the O2 Arena to watch Swedish hotty Andreas Moe, well we couldn’t resist. The fact that heart melting John Mayer was there as well? Well, that was just the icing on the cake.

Andreas opened up with his new single and lead track off the EP, ‘Ocean’ there were loads of oooohhh wooaaahhh moments we had a sing along with – thankfully everyone was doing the same. We normally get kicked out for singing like a strangled cat.

If you’re after summery vibes and a sexy voice, Andreas is your man. Pulling in traits from Ben Howard and Bon Iver it’s the sort of chilled out awesomeness that’s brilliant for those long drives in the sunshine. WARNING if you’ve had a break up it might make you reminisce about life and make you be a bit sad, but in a good way.

Even in such a large space like the O2 Arena, Andreas’ vocals seemed to effortlessly fill 20,000 seats with ease and at the same time make you feel like he was serenading you alone. Magical.

John Mayer is one of Andreas’ biggest influences, so no pressure supporting him then… If Andreas was nervous you couldn’t tell, he seemed to connect with the whole crowd on a personal level and hit every high note without fault.

His band also busted out a trumpet and a harmonica – we’re not sure how many people have pulled off a harmonica in the O2 Arena, apart from Bob Dylan.

Andreas left us wanting more, if you get the chance you need to see this man live. An MP! 10/10 for his face and amazing sounds.

John Mayer obviously smashed it afterwards as well. He played a cover of ‘XO’ by Beyoncé which included loads of flashing lights. Marry us.
