All the Amity Fest goss you need – who’s ditching Summer In The City?

With the announcement that one of the biggest YouTube events that there is Summer In The City would be moving to London’s ExCeL centre for it’s sixth year, a load of our YouTube favourites came out in force to tweet that they WOULDN’T be attending. Wait, what?

But why have a whopping nine of of our favourite YouTube stars dropped out of one of the biggest meet-ups of the year? Well that’s because they have plans to expand their own rival event Amity Fest.

The first YouTuber to announce that they wouldn’t be making a return to Summer In The City this year was Pointless Blog megastar Alfie Deyes who tweeted “Guys I won’t be attending SummerInTheCity this year, but don’t you worry! AmityFest have got something BIG coming soon and I’m excited x”

Joe Sugg was next to break the news, informing his followers that he wouldn’t be joining the Summer In The City line-up either.

The lovely Louise from SprinkleOfGlitter followed with the news that she wouldn’t be returning either, sending to her one million followers “Lovely Sprinklerinos, I won’t be attending SITC this year buuuutt AmityFest have something v.v.v exciting planned for you! YAY!”

She’s always so charming, isn’t she?

The Queen of YouTube Zoella was next to let her fans in on the news that she wouldn’t be returning:

Caspar Lee, Jim Chapman and his girlfriend Tanya Burr and Niomi Smart have also come out in force to let their fans know that they’ll be turning down their invites to Summer In The City in favour of AmityFest too!

But don’t fret too much, SITC fans, Emma Blackery, MusicalBethan, Sam King, Luke Cutforth and Niki and Sammy are all confirmed to be attending.
