American Music Awards 2014: Full winners list, they were 1D AF.

Recap the whole event in three words: 1D conquer AMAs.

Sunday night in Los Angeles 1D nabbed three AMAs: Artist of the Year, Favorite Band/Duo/Group, Favorite Album: Pop/Rock.

Are we surprised by One Direction’s dominance? Obvs no.

The other big winner of the night was Katy Perry, who thanked everyone with a video message from Australia, unable to attend the event due to her tour schedule.

She won favourite pop/rock female artist, favourite adult contemporary artist and single of the year for Dark Horse.

5 Seconds of Summer grabbed their well deserved New Artist of the Year Presented By Kohl’s

Sam Smith won the favourite male artist (pop/rock) award.

Two awards for Iggy Azalea –  favourite artist and favourite album for The New Classic – both in the rap/hip-hop categories.
