5 Reasons why we are OBSESSED with Citizen Four

You might not yet have heard of pop kings, Citizen Four, but believe us, you’re going to want to get on this one early. The voices of angels and faces to match, Citizen Four are The Weeknd smashed up with Conor Maynard – a combination that’s currently slaying any other song on our playlist.

The four-piece band is made up by Josh Levi (X Factor), Austin Percario (American Idol, X Factor), and brothers Carson and Conner Boatman. They hail from various parts of the States, making for an eclectic mix of West Coast, East Coast, and Midwest influences. And if all of that wasn’t enough to get you searching through their feeds, these five reasons will be:

1. They’re proof that you don’t need to have EVERYTHING in common with your BFF.

Citizen Four all have totally different interests. Carson is an actor, and major fitness enthusiast, while Austin likes to keep things spiritual. Conner’s the adventure junkie who loves riding horses, swimming, and camping, and Josh is the old soul who loves pushing cultural boundaries. So, is it weird that they’re friends and in a band together? No! Diversity is always a good thing in friendships. More interests = more things to explore and learn together. ‘We have these four different voices – literally and figuratively,” says Josh. “It’s so cool when we come together.’

2. They are SO cute with animals.

We love animals, but we maybe don’t love them quite as much as the crew from Citizen Four. Take a look.

5. ‘Want You Back’ is about to become your favourite summer hit.

This catchy beat is going to be the backdrop for all your summer mischief. The music video featured below was shot in Los Angeles, and the group had this to say to MP! about the track:
