Zayn Malik’s lovely face on the cover of NME knocked us out cold

Tomorrow is the big day for Zayn Malik, marking one year since his departure from One Direction and the release of his debut solo album. To some fans, 25 March marks a dark day in boyband history. To others, it’s a day of exciting change. Commemorating the occasion, Zayn’s beautiful face is gracing the cover of NME.

The cover plays off a few boxing puns, and  Zayn’s posed to literally punch us out. You know what, we’re totally fine with that.

Speaking to NME about why he chose to leave One Direction pursue his own music career, Zayn says, “I just didn’t want to get caught up in something that wasn’t real.”

You can read the full interview and see all the drool-worthy photos in the all-new free NME, available today.
