YOU REVIEW: MP!er Roisin shares her thoughts on “plot twisting fantasy” “True Fire”, the first in a brand new trilogy by Gary Meehan.

Describe the plot of ‘Unhinged’ in a tweet – less than 140 characters please!
This book takes you on an adventurous journey to find the truth regardless of the biggest form of betrayal Megan could ever face.

What genre would you class the book as?
It puts a very unusual twist on the worlds of fantasy and religion.

What did you think of ‘True Fire’?

I think this book portrayed a very different side to the fantasy genre, it’s full of plot twists you could never imagine and generally transports you into a world where everything you’ve ever been told is a lie.
What was the best bit?
My favourite part has to be the major plot twists throughtout that lead you constantly wanting to find out what happens.
Anything you didn’t like about the book?
I would have liked to find out more about the main characters as certain parts of characters backstories seem to have big relevance to the book.
Would you recommend ‘True Fire’ to your friends?
Yes! If I knew fantasy books were the genre they enjoyed I wouldn’t question it.
Do you think it would appeal to boys or girls more? Or both?
Personally I think this could appeal to both boys and girls because it has the fantasy adventure feel to it but also includes violence. All whilst taking the characters on a journey of self discovery as well as what they set out to achieve.
Anything else you’d like to tell us about ‘True Fire’?
[SPOILER ALERT] Not all stories have to have a very happy ending.
