YOU REVIEW: MP!er Jennifer shares her thoughts on ‘Yolo’ the fourth instalment in the bestselling Internet Girls series by Lauren Myracle.
Describe the plot of ‘Yolo’ in a tweet – Less than 140 characters please!
A tale of three friends separated when they go to different colleges. They keep in touch by texting and tweeting. Their motto is ‘you only live once’ (YOLO).
What genre would you class the book as?
What was the best bit?
I liked that Angela and Zoe get the money together so Maddie can go home for Thanksgiving so they can all meet up and help her.
Anything you didn’t like?
I didn’t like the way Doug treated Zoe, he was an idiot.
Would you recommend ‘Yolo’ to your friends?
I would recommend this book to my girl friends, they would understand what’s going on. I don’t think any of my guy friends would like this book.
Do you think it would appeal to girls or boys more? Or both?
This is definitely a girly book, I don’t think boys would find it very interesting. It relates to the way girls interact with each other a lot more than how boys do.
Anything else you’d like to tell us about ‘Yolo’?
It’s the fourth book in the Internet Girls series, I’ve not read any of the other books but the story is easy to understand. The cover of the book was very modern and made me want to look inside and start reading. It’s a good book if you don’t want to concentrate too much, you can pick it up and put it down without getting confused in the middle of story lines.
