With Sunday drawing ever closer, it’s time to have a cheeky look at this week’s singles and albums sales so far and see who’s racing ahead to number one.
According to the Official Charts Company, Sam Smith and John Legend look set to keep hold of their number one triumph with Comic Relief charity single ‘Lay Me Down’.
Years & Years are expected to hold onto their number two spot with ‘King’, whilst it looks like Rihanna, Kanye West and Paul McCartney will rise to number three with ‘FourFiveSeconds’.
Hozier’s ‘Take Me To Church’ looks set to rise back into the top five at number four, whilst Ellie Goulding holds on to the number five spit with ‘Love Me Like You Do’.
Tough Love are so far this week’s highest new entry with ‘So Freakin’ Tight’ currently sitting at number ten. MNEK is on course for his first solo top 40 hit with ‘The Rhythm’ currently charting at number twenty-six.
In the albums chart, Kendrick Lamar looks set to score his first UK number one album after ‘To Pimp A Butterfly’ broke Spotify’s global streaming record earlier this week.
Mark Knopfler’s ‘Tracker’ is currently a new entry at number two. Sam Smith’s ‘In The Lonely Hour’ and Ed Sheeran’s ‘X’ sit at numbers three and four respectively. Van Morrison’s ‘Duets – Re-working The Catalogue’ is new in at number five.
