7 books we’d love to see turned into a TV series

Here at MP! we love reading, especially YA — that is our absolute fave. There isn’t many a time you’ll see us without our noses firmly wedged into a book.

If you so happen to see us not reading though, no doubt we’ll be watching YouTubers or TV. And there’s nothing we love more than combining the two, as long as the TV or film adaption does the book justice, that is. Here’s just a few books we’d love to seen turned into a 22 episode TV series.

1. ‘Delirium Series’ by Lauren Oliver

A dystopian novel set in a world where love is deemed as a disease, Lena has to decide between whether to follow all that she’s known growing up, or risk it all for the one thing that’s forbidden. With ‘The Hunger Games’ and ‘The Divergent Series’ on the scene, we’re not entirely sure why this one hasn’t been picked up for some form of adaption. It’s uh-mazing!

2. ‘Girl Online’ by Zoe Sugg

We would love one of our fave YouTubers to have her novels turned into a TV series. With the backdrop of Brighton, we reckon it would be seriously good. Definite put-your-feet-up-and-chill ‘Pretty Little Liars’ vibes.

3. ‘To All The Boys I Loved Before’ by Jenny Han

Uh, we need this to be made into a TV series or film like we need to breathe. The story of Lara Jean is simply lovely and we’re so pleased that Jenny Han has decided to continue her story on into a third book! Eek, it’s out 4th April 2017.

4. ‘Carry On’ by Rainbow Rowell

Who doesn’t want HP inspired stories about a wizard called Simon and a vampire called Baz, who are arch enemies, but, you know, fall in love. Rainbow Rowell’s stories are the stuff of dreams! And if ‘Harry Potter’ gets eight films, why shouldn’t ‘Carry On’? Right? Right!

5. ‘The Raven Cycle’ by Maggie Stiefvater

Tbh, we’re not entirely sure why this hasn’t already happened yet. ‘The Raven Cycle’ books are so popular! Between the clairvoyance and ridiculously attractive Aglionby boys, we think someone might be missing a trick not bringing this to life on screen.

6. ‘Everything, Everything’ by Nicola Yoon

This would be an interesting one! With most of the book being set in Maddy’s home, it would definitely be a challenge. But we’re in love with this book and so seeing it come to life would be an absolute dream. It’s also one of the titles from Zoella’s book club, so you should definitely give it a read if you haven’t already.

7. ‘Harry Potter’ by JK Rowling

Although we’ve had it in film form, we definitely will never get enough of ‘Harry Potter’. Plus, in TV format, none of the important details would have to be cut. We just think they should mince HP for all it’s worth, because we’ll never fall out of love with the wizarding world.
