The X Factor Judges have their categories! Is Harry Styles going to judges houses?!

After an eventful first week of auditions, you were asked to vote on which judge should mentor which category. The results are in and we can reveal…

Rita Ora will be mentoring the girls, Nick Grimshaw will be mentoring the boysCheryl Fernandez-Versini will be mentoring the groups and Simon Cowell will be mentoring the overs. So exciting!

However, it seems that Simon isn’t too impressed with the category he’s been given as he tweeted:

We’re sure the overs will be great, Uncle Si! Chez seemed quite happy though, didn’t she?cheryl-tweet

Even better news now because when asked who will be accompanying him to judges houses, Grimmy hinted at a certain Mr Harry Styles!

“Yeah, I think [I will ask Harry]. I kinda want Miley Cyrus, no offence; but I would ask him yeah. I think he’d be a good judge because he’s been through it all, hasn’t he? He knows what’s going on and they’ve done alright, they’ve done okay. So yeah maybe he’s a good shout, actually.”

With rumours that Louis (that’s Tomlinson, not Walsh) will be appearing somewhere in this series, we could have 2/4 helping out at judges houses! They may as well ask Liam and Niall, now. Only fair, right? And imagine the banter of them rooting for the categories they helped mentor.

We are SO excited for this year’s series of The X Factor and the countdown to Christmas has officially begun! Which category are you most excited about? Think Harry will accompany Grimmy at judges houses? Tweet us your excitement for The X Factor @maximumpop and let’s watch the show this weekend together, yeah?
