Srsly? What the heck were we reading in 2006?

2006 was a whole freakin’ decade ago. Ten years. Wow. That makes some of us feel OLD!

But what in the flip were we reading back then? We’ve gathered some of the more surprising 2006 releases. Some started a phenomenon, and others were carrying one on. Have you read these?

1. We were on to book two of the ‘Twilight’ series. The book that cannot be read the same way again if you’ve seen Taylor Lautner do his very best to keep his shirt off in the films…

2. Ally Carter’s fabulous ‘Galllagher Girls’ series saw its beginnings…

3. …and so did Rachel Caine’s ‘Morgainville Vampires’ with ‘Glass Houses’. (What is that cover, though? Eesh.)

4. Also, there was ‘Pretty Little Liars’, which, you know, became quite a thing.

5. John Green was busy confirming his awesomeness with ‘An Abundance of Katherines’.

6. And Sarah Dessen was being the total queen YA contemporary we know her to be with ‘Just Listen’.

Which have you read? Are some of these STILL on your tbr? Tweet us @maximumpopbooks
