Amazing Album Alert: Some of our fave singers have got together for a Disney covers album.

Classic Disney movies have given us some of the best soundtracks of all time, haven’t they? That is why today in our Amazing Album Alert, we are celebrating those tracks with the help of ‘We Love Disney’ , a brand new covers album by some of the most celebrated singers in the world who have recreated some of Disney’s biggest and best tracks.

Some of the names we were most excited about hearing perform on the album were Ariana Grande, Jason Derulo, and even ‘Pretty Little Liars’ actress Lucy Hale.

The album opens with Ne-Yo’s version of ‘Friend Like Me’ from ‘Aladdin’ which is just as amazing as the original before Jessie J blows us all away with her vocals on ‘The Little Mermaid”s ‘Part of Your World’, and Jason Derulo puts a current twist on ‘Can You Feel The Love Tonight’ and ‘Nants’ Ingonyama’ from ‘The Lion King’.

Gwen Stefani’s rendition of ‘The Rainbow Connection’ from ‘The Muppets Movie’ is stunning before one of the album’s highlights comes from Ariana Grande who’s voice makes you go all goosebumpy on ‘Hercules” ‘Zero To Hero’.

Another hair-on-edge moment comes from Jessie Ware who performs ‘A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes’ from ‘Cinderella’.

‘In a World of My Own/Very Good Advice’ from Jhené Aiko gave a really cool twist on the ‘Alice in Wonderland’ songs that make them almost unrecognisable.

Continuing with the unrecognisable theme, Fall Out Boy turn ‘I Wan’na Be Like You’ into a rock track before Tori Kelly gives a classic rendition of ‘Pocahontas” ‘Colours of the Wind’.

‘A Spoonful of Sugar’ from ‘Mary Poppins’ receives a country twist from Kacey Musgraves, as does ‘Let It Go’ from ‘Frozen’ by Lucy Hale and Rascal Flatts later on in the album.

‘Ev’rybody Wants To Be a Cat’ from ‘The Aristocats’ by Charles Perry is another of the album’s highlight due to the fact of how contemporarily classic the track has been kept.

But our overall favourite moment has to be when everybody comes together to perform ‘It’s a Small World’. You know, it’s like that part at the end of a school play when all the kids sing together and all the mums blubber.

We’re gonna give this album a massive 8/10 because it’s just bloomin’ brilliant and took us right back to our childhood. We’ll be playing it over and over again.

‘We Love Disney’ will be released on October 30. Pre-order here.
