Victoria’s Secret just made a major step for diversity… it’s about time!

Victoria’s Secret have often come under fire for their lack of diversity (uh, where are all the curvy models at?), but it seems they’re finally taking some steps in the right direction.

The brand has just announced that 21-year-old Zuri Tibby is the new spokesmodel for their ‘Pink’ line, making her the first EVER black face of the label. Yep, for real.

Victoria’s Secret have previously featured women of colour in their runway shows and ads, but Zuri is the first to front Pink, marking a major moment for inclusivity in the fashion world.

You can find both VS Pink and Zuri‘s usernames in our Snapchat Directory, as well as thousands of other stars.

While we’re super happy at this news, we have to say – what took so long, guys?! Last time we checked it was 2016. Hopefully many more brands will take note and follow in VS’s steps.

Do you think fashion brands should be working harder to promote diversity? Let’s discuss in the comments below!
