POP BITS. The lovely Union J lads have confirmed that this will be the year we’re treated to their second album – yay! Their first offering – which we loved – featured hits such as ‘Carry You’ and ‘Beautiful Life’ as well as their cover of ‘Skyscraper’ and the boys want their second studio album to be even better.
In a chat with showbiz reporter Mark Boardman, the boys said: “2014 is going to be the best year as we’ve signed a deal to make a second album. With the experience we’ve gained, we’re now in a position of knowing what we want to do.”
And the boys weren’t shy when talking about how they felt about their first, self-titled effort.
“Every song on our album is good,” they added. It’s a good job we agree, boys, or we might think you’ve gone all pop diva on us! “We want that massive hit [on our second album] that’s not just good, but amazing, just like The Wanted did with ‘Glad You Came’.”
They also revealed that they’re looking for new producers to work with, who can help them find the musical direction they want to take.
Sounds like the boys know exactly what they want to achieve, and if they pull it off, they could be responsible for one of 2014’s pop anthems. We don’t know about you, but we can’t wait to hear it. POP BITS OUT.
