‘True Fire’ is very action-packed which made the story exciting to read from start to finish! One of my favourite things about the book was how vividly the characters were portrayed – you really got a sense of their disposition and all the little quirks in their personalities. What was also remarkable was how brilliantly Meehan combined the powerful emotions of the novel, such as fear and sorrow, whilst still managing to include snippets of humour throughout.
What was the best bit?
There were quite a lot of character/place names mentioned throughout the book, which got slightly confusing at times as it was hard to remember who was who etc. It was also quite lengthy (just under 400 pages) for anyone who prefers a shorter read.
Anything else you’d like to tell us about the book?
The book has been compared to ‘Throne of Glass’ so if you enjoyed that, you’ll love reading ‘True Fire’! I’d recommend it to anyone who fancies delving into a world of lies, war and revenge and getting hooked into one girls riveting journey to unveil the truth.
