20. Jess Glynne – ‘Hold My Hand’

Highest UK Chart Position: #1

This song still has us singing “ooh-ooh-ooh” nine months after its release in March.

19. Jack Ü with Justin Bieber – ‘Where Are Ü Now’

Highest UK Chart Position: #3

Our first taste of new Bieber music has had us trying to imitate that weird noise chorus all year.

18. Nick Jonas – ‘Jealous’

Highest UK Chart Position: #2

Jesus Christ he gets hotter every time we see him.

17. Jason Derulo – ‘Want To Want Me’

Highest UK Chart Position: #1

This song is probably the most quotable of the year considering the amount of times we saw the opening verse sprawled across our Facebook news feeds during the summer heatwave.

16. Hailee Steinfeld – ‘Love Myself’

Highest UK Chart Position: #180

LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LAAAAA.

15. Troye Sivan – ‘WILD’

Highest UK Chart Position: #62

This year saw one of our favourite YouTubers become a proper popstar and we couldn’t be prouder.

14. Ariana Grande – ‘Focus’

Highest UK Chart Position: #10

Can she keep the hair forever please?

13. 5 Seconds of Summer – ‘Hey Everybody’

Highest UK Chart Position: #49

We do love a bit of 5SOS cosplay action.

12. The Vamps – ‘Wake Up’

Highest UK Chart Position: #12

We missed these boys more than we ever knew. And can we make Brooklyn Beckham a permanent member? He’s so cool.

11. Selena Gomez Feat. A$AP Rocky – ‘Good For You’

Highest UK Chart Position: #23

Sexy Selena is everything we ever wanted and we never even knew it. HOLD UP TAKE A MINUTE LOVE.

We are cool for this song no matter what season it is.

THOSE. MOTHER. FUDGING. FEELS.

This introduction to the new broken scene will forever stay with us.

Highest UK Chart Position: #3

The return of The X Factor runner up who became a champion with this track.

Highest UK Chart Position: #3

OOOOOH, WE LOVE YOUR STYLE 5H.

3. Justin Bieber – ‘Sorry’

Highest UK Chart Position: #1

What a banger.

2. One Direction – ‘Drag Me Down’

Highest UK Chart Position: #1

This surprise release, and their first without Zayn, cemented 1D’s status as the biggest band in the world.

1. Little Mix – ‘Black Magic’

Highest Chart Position: #1

Our favourite single of the year has to be the comeback track from our favourite British girl band. ‘Black Magic’ is the most poptastic track of the year. We’re definitely still under a spell with this one.
