This Weekend’s telly- sorted!


It’s January which means staying in your pjs and not turning the telly off for thirty one days, well maybe turn it off when you’re at school, there’s the environment to consider. The mum in us should tell you to get some fresh air and meet some 3D people but with all this on the Box of Magic this weekend who needs the real world?!

FRIDAY:

Friday Download: Kick start the weekend with this MP! favourite. This week the team shows you how to throw shapes to 1D’s ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ and Rizzle Kicks deliver a rapping masterclass. CBBC 6pm

Chris Moyles Quiz Night: Jason Derulo joins the team for the weekly comedy quiz. The loser has to sing the final song so fingers crossed he has a low IQ. Channel 4 10:35pm

The Graham Norton Show: Taio Cruz performs his new single ‘Troublemaker.’ BBC1 10:35pm

SATURDAY:

T4: The only way to start your Saturday morning. Cram up on your pop knowledge with Everyone’s Talking About…Top Ten- the music show featuring the most-talked about songs this week (8:55am). Followed by Live and Lost with Chipmunk (9:25am) and MP! favourites Cover Drive perform their new single Twilight at 10:20am. Channel 4 from 8:55am

Fame: The legwarmer count may have gone down but this remake of the classic 80’s film is still worth a look, if only for the hot guys doing backflips. Channel 4 6:05pm

The Talent Show Story: This episode of the documentary series focuses on the “unlikely stars” of talent shows. Translation: Jedward! ITV1 8:15pm

The Jonathan Ross Show: Daniel Radcliffe drops by for a chat about his scary new film, The Woman in Black. ITV1 9:15pm

Celebrity Juice: If you missed the first showing of this on ITV2 last year tune in on Saturday. Olly Murs and Caroline Flack are the guests (Jedward and Wagner also make an appearance) and it was recorded pre-Harry Styles, let the flirting commence. ITV1 10:30pm

SUNDAY:

T4: After the Hollyoaks omnibus stay tuned for an interview with friend of T4, Professor Green. Channel 4 11:19am

127 Hours: It’s probably a good idea to eat your dinner before settling down with this film, James Franco gets his arm stuck in a rock with just a pocket knife for company… Channel 4 9pm

Birdsong: OK it’s not exactly the light entertainment most of us are craving on a Sunday but this adaption of the classic book might help you with that English coursework. BBC1 9pm
