Huzzah! The Vamps are set to land their first ever number one with ‘Wake Up’.

It looks like The Vamps may be about to bag their first ever number one single with brand new track ‘Wake Up’! After their previous singles ‘Can We Dance’ and ‘Last Night’ both hit number two on the singles chart, ‘Wake Up’ is currently number one in the midweek chart update.

However, it’s a very close race to the top with just 5000 sales separating the whole top five which also includes Philip George and Anton Powers at number two with ‘Alone No More’ and Justin Bieber‘s ‘What Do You Mean’.

R. City and Adam Levine’s ‘Locked Away’ currently sits at number four whilst current number one Sam Smith’s ‘Writing’s On The Wall’ has slipped to number five.

In the albums chart, it looks like Rudimental will be scoring their second number one album with new release ‘We The Generation’ with Editors at number two with their latest album ‘In Dreams’.

Former number one from Dave Gilmour ‘Rattle That Lock’ is at number three whilst Jess Glynne and Ed Sheeran chart at numbers four and five respectively with ‘I Cry When I Laugh’ and ‘x’.
