New Music Friday brings top new tunes from the stars of The Great Escape festival

This weekend is all about The Great Escape festival in Brighton and some of its artists are absolutely slaying at the minute. A few days ago we gave you the goss about which artists you need to discover at the festival and, lo and behold, a whole bunch of ’em have chucked out some sick new tunes today for New Music Friday and we couldn’t be more excited.

Anne Marie – ‘Alarm’

First up is the stunning Anne-Marie who has literally released her best single to date. ‘Alarm’ will blow your socks off in the best way possible. Of course, Anne-Marie is bezzies with Rudimental after touring with them for so long and singing on a lot of their tunes so it’s no surprise that ‘Alarm’ features production by Amir Amor (best name ever) of Rudimental. If her previous single ‘Do It Right’ was the starter, ‘Alarm’ is the main course and dessert all rolled into one (actually that kinda sounds gross, but you know what we mean). Anne-Marie’s vocals really sound quite Sia-esque on this jam, which is never a bad thing.

M.O – ‘Who Do You Think Of?’

It feels like M.O have been waiting for their big pop single moment FOREVER! Like seriously, Drake would have released ten albums in the time since their last single ‘Preach’, which came out last May people! Sloth is a sin, but we can forgive M.O because this is a quality over quantity moment. Everyone deserves at least one tropical house-infused summer jam and this is M.O’s. Be excited.

Declan McKenna – ‘Bethlehem’

Don’t let the jaunty upbeat nature of Declan McKenna’s latest single ‘Bethlehem’ fool you, he’s up to his old tricks again! Having previously trashed FIFA in his song ‘Brazil’ the next victim on Declan’s chopping block is the ambitious target of religion. Very controversial!
